Carlos Alexandre Torres (born August 22, 1966 in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil ) is a former Brazilian soccer player.

Career

The 1.87 meter tall defender began his career with the youth club Fluminense FC , where he was under contract for five years. After five years he moved to the first division of the same club, where he played a goalless league game in the first year. From 1986 to 1987 he played 21 goalless league games. In 1988 he took part in eight league games and scored one goal. He played 18 goalless league games in 1989. The next year he made 18 league games and scored two goals. In his senior year, he played 18 goalless league games. For the next three years he signed a contract with the club CR Vasco da Gama , in which he never scored a goal. In 1992 he played 17, in 1993 he completed ten and last year he played 19 league games.

After nine years in Brazil, he moved to the Japanese club Nagoya Grampus , where he was under contract for four years. In his first year he took part in 36 league games and promoted six passes into goal. He also took part in four goalless games of the Kaiser Cup. In 1996 he played 29 league games and shot two dead. He also took part in a goalless game in the Kaiser Cup and 13 goalless games in the J. League Cup . The next year, like last year, he played 29 league games and promoted two passes into goal. Participated in a goalless game of the Kaiser Cup and 10 games of the J. League Cup and promoted a pass into the goal. In 1998 he completed 24 goalless league games and four goalless games each of the Kaiser Cup and the J. League Cup. In his last year at the club, he played 24 league games and promoted a pass into the goal. He also took part in four games of the Kaiser Cup and the J.
