Carlos Balmaceda (writer)

Carlos Balmaceda (* 1954 in Mar del Plata , Buenos Aires Province ) is an Argentine journalist and writer.

Life

Balmaceda began working as a freelancer for various newspapers and magazines while still at school. Later he worked for the magazine “ La Nación ” and worked as a journalist in his hometown.

In addition to his purely journalistic work, he also developed an independent literary oeuvre for which he has already received awards.

• His novel The Venus murderer was for the Premio Planeta nominated
• In 2004 the Casa Americana awarded his literary works
