Carlos Enrique Díaz de León ( 1910 - 1971 ) was President of Guatemala from June 27 to June 28, 1954 .

Career

Colonel Carlos Enrique Díaz was a friend and successor of Jacobo Árbenz Guzmán . As part of Operation PBSUCCESS , Óscar Osorio Hernández brokered negotiations with John Emil Peurifoy at the end of June 1954 , which led to Carlos Castillo Armas replacing Carlos Enrique Díaz de León . At the end of his presidency, Díaz de León joined a military junta led by Elfego Hernán Monzón Aguirre.
