Carlos Ibáñez (cyclist)

Carlos Andrés Ibáñez González (born October 30, 1981 in Cali ) is a former Colombian cyclist .

Carlos Ibáñez began his career in 2002 with the Colombian cycling team Colombia-Selle Italia . In his first year there he won a stage at the Vuelta al Táchira and he won the bronze medal in the individual time trial of the Pan American Championship. The next year he was successful in a section of the Vuelta a Colombia . In 2005 Ibáñez won a stage at the Vuelta a Ávila and was able to win the overall standings there. He also won a stage in the Vuelta a Tenerife. In 2006 he drove for the Continental Team Atom , where he won another stage of the Vuelta a Colombia. In the 2008 season he won the U23 event of the Vuelta a España . In his last season in 2010, Carlos Ibáñez drove for the Colombian team Café de Colombia-Colombia es Pasión .
