Carlos de Morais Camisão (born May 8, 1821 in Rio de Janeiro , † May 29, 1867 in Jardim (Mato Grosso do Sul) ) was a Brazilian military who was active during the Triple Alliance War .

Life

Camisão was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1821 and pursued a military career in which he was also involved in the Triple Alliance War. He is known for taking command of the Brazilian counter-offensive during the Mato Grosso campaign . However, he did not live to see the end of the war; he died of cholera in 1867 .
