Carmarthenshire Railway

The Carmathenshire Railway was a British railway company based in South Wales .

The company was founded on June 3, 1802. Between 1804 and 1806, the Carmathenshire Railway opened a horse-powered rail line between Llanelli and Gorslas . The Carmathenshire Railway was unsuccessful. In 1844 a voluntary liquidation of the company was initiated, after which the line was dismantled.

In 1875 the Llanelly and Mynydd Mawr Railway bought the remaining infrastructure for £ 1,400.
