Carsebridge was a whiskey distillery in Alloa , Clackmannanshire , Scotland . It was not far from the Cambus distillery .
history
The distillery was founded in 1799 by John Bald & Co in the Scottish town of Alloa. For the first 53 years of its existence, it produced malt whiskey . With the increasing spread of grain whiskey and the establishment of the coffee still , the company was converted to the production of grain whiskey in 1852 and a still more than 20 m high was installed. In 1877 the distillery was one of the founding members of the Distiller Company Ltd. (DCL) and was owned by Scottish Grain Distillers Ltd. in 1966 . over. They installed a third Coffey Still to increase production capacity . The distillery was closed in 1983 and the buildings demolished in 1992. Today there is an industrial park on the site.

The water needed to make whiskey came from Gartmorn Dam. After the switch to the production of grain whiskey, initially two and later three coffee stills were used.
Bottlings
Carsebridge's whiskey was used to make blends . The distillery did not dispense any original bottlings until the end. However, there are bottlings by independent bottlers.
