Carsten Jaeger

Carsten Jaeger (born April 14, 1978 in Trier ) is a German filmmaker and film producer .

As part of his studies of communication design at Trier University of Applied Sciences, Jaeger produced experimental short films (including "Hansel and Gretel"), music videos (including "The man with the x-ray eyes", Corman) and company portraits (including "A real piece of nature") . In 2006 Jaeger graduated from Hermann Vaske with the concept and the pilot film for the series "TROUBLE $ HOOTER ALEX LONE". In 2010 he founded the film production company JAEGER FILM in his hometown of Trier and since then has been developing a product under his own flag. a. Image and advertising films as well as documentaries for the web and television.

Before that, he worked for several years as a creative producer, editor and composer for "Emotional Network", the Frankfurt production company of the Grimme Prize winner Hermann Vaske, and worked as an editor for the Hamburg advertising agency "Jung von Matt" for clients such as BMW, Sparkasse and EBAY. For Emotional Network he was a. a. significantly involved in productions such as "Must I Write?" with movie legend Dennis Hopper and the ARTE themed evenings "Life Is A Poem" with Katrin Bauerfeind and "The Digital Bomb".

In collaboration with his brother, the television journalist Gernot Jaeger, he produced the docudrama “Karl Marx - A Philosopher Makes History” in 2008. The film received international press coverage in radio, print and online media as well as in the SWR-Landesschau, in 3Sat-Kulturzeit and in the ARD-Nachtmagazin. In the same year Jaeger also wrote and directed the low-budget short film "Inbetween".

The focus of JAEGER FILM is on the production of film as a communication tool for companies and institutions, and above all on the development and production of short and documentary films. Since the end of 2013 DMAX has been showing the 5-part documentary series “Gold Rush in Australia”, which Carsten Jaeger wrote, shot, edited and produced with great success.
