Carsten Wünsch

Carsten Wünsch (* 1972 in Dresden ) is a German communication scientist .

From 1992 Wünsch studied communication science, political science, philosophy and economics at the Technical University of Dresden. After completing his master's degree in 2000, he worked as a research assistant at the TU Dresden and at the Institute for Communication and Media Studies at the University of Leipzig .

In 2005, Wünsch received his doctorate summa cum laude with a dissertation on the subject of “Entertainment Experience: A hierarchical two-level model of affective-cognitive information processing” .

In 2009 he was a substitute professor at the University of Augsburg ; In 2010 he became a junior professor at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. In 2013 he followed the call to the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg .

His main research interests are empirical and theoretical research on reception and effects .
