Carvalho de Rei is a place and a former municipality in northwestern Portugal .
Carvalho de Rei belongs to the Amarante county in the Porto district . The municipality had an area of 7.3 km² and 183 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Carvalho de Rei, Bustelo and Carneiro were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Bustelo, Carneiro e Carvalho de Rei .
