Carved in Stone is the solo project of the artist Ilona Jeschke, who was already active in various metal bands before she joined the Viking metal band Taunusheim as a keyboard player .
history
After the previously successful releases The Forgotten Belief in 2002 and Hear the Voice in 2004, Carved in Stone returned in 2007 with the work Tales of Glory & Tragedy . All CDs were recorded on the Schwarzdorn Production label and since 2004 they have been sold through Twilight Distribution.
style
Carved in Stone produces acoustic and “mystical” folk music that is only accompanied by Swawa's voice . The lyrics, written in German as well as English and Swedish, deal with pagan themes. They deal with high fantasy , the Middle Ages , nature in general and their spirits in particular, as well as romantic-fantastic love relationships. They contribute a lot to the mystical atmosphere, which, together with the crystal clear voice of Ilona Jeschke, is a trademark of Carved in Stone.
