Casa Buti

The Casa Buti was an artist hostel in Rome in the 19th century. Her address was Via Sistina 48–51 . The hostel was run by Camillo and Anna Maria Buti.

The painter Heinrich Lengerich married his daughter Olympia Buti (1804–?) And went back to Germany with her. The sculptor Julius Troschel - guest since 1834 - married a daughter of his landlords in 1838, Vittoria Buti (1801–?). However, he stayed in Rome. The daughter Elena Buti was unhappy , she wanted to marry Rudolf Schadow , but due to his untimely death in 1822 it never came back.
