The Casa de Esteban de Luca (German: House of Esteban de Luca) is a historic residential building in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires . Built in 1786, it was once inhabited by the poet and soldier Esteban de Luca , who wrote the lyrics for the country's first national anthem , the Canción Patriótica . In 1941 the building was declared a National Historic Monument . Today the house houses a restaurant. It is located on Calle Carlos Calvo 383 in the San Telmo district .
