Caspar Laurentius Hornschuch
Caspar Laurentius Hornschuch (born August 7, 1610 in Wölfershausen , † January 17, 1676 in Ohrdruf ) was lieutenant captain and mayor of Ohrdruf.
He was the son of a pastor and probably escaped from his parents 'home against his parents' wishes in order to pursue a military career. In the Saxon-Gotha service he reached the rank of lieutenant captain, during the Thirty Years' War he became city commander in Ohrdruf. His tomb has been preserved in the Ohrdruf cemetery.
