Cassius Apronianus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Marcus (?) Cassius Apronianus was a 2nd century Roman senator.

Apronianus came from Nikaia in Bithynia and was the father of the historian Cassius Dio . Before the year 182 (maybe 179/180?) He was proconsul of the province Lycia et Pamphylia and legate of Cilicia , apparently for the year 182 or 183. Around 183/184 he was a suffect consul . Around 185 he became a legate of Dalmatia .
