Castle Combe Castle

Castle Combe Castle is an abandoned castle in the village of Castle Combe in the English county of Wiltshire .

The medieval moth was built on a rock spur in the 12th century . The arrangement of four or possibly even five castle courtyards around the donjon was unusual .

Today only earthworks and a few parts of the wall are preserved.
