Cat & Mouse is a Finnish band consisting of Kärtsy Hatakka , lead singer of Waltari and his brother Tote Hatakka, who is a few years older. In 1975, when Kärtsy was just 8 years old, her first album "She Does Slip" was released. In 1995 there was a re-release of the album with bonus tracks from the same year.

The record company , with which "She Does Slip" was recorded, asked Kärtsy if he would agree to a new release for the 20th anniversary of the album, because the language used in the lyrics at the time was quite wild and contained a lot of swearwords so can damage his reputation.

Kärtsy and Tote were so impressed by the idea of the re-release that they decided to record new songs for the re-release. The band's new style is electro pop . The new songs were mixed by Sale Suomalainen, who used to play with Kärtsy at Waltari. Kärtsy's bandmate Jariot Lehtinen helped out on the electric guitar. The CD sold very well. Actually, Kärtsy and Tote wanted to leave it with this new release and not record any more songs. Cat & Mouse shouldn't become a permanent band project, but both saw it as a nice little change from the music they usually make, or as Kärtsy puts it: as a therapy project.

Due to the high demand, the “Around and round” EP was released in 1998, which contained three new songs and three new versions of bonus tracks from 1995. The EP was sold out within a very short time. Although Cat & Mouse still occasionally appear in scene clubs in Finland, no further releases are currently planned.
