Catherine is an American metalcore band from Sacramento, California .

history

Catherine originally formed in 2003, but they weren't together as a five-piece band until 2004, and in the same year they released a self-produced demo tape .

Her first EP A Call to Entropy was released in 2005 and was again self-released .

In the same year the band was signed by the record label Rise Records and in 2006 the debut album Rumor Has It: Astaroth Has Stolen Your Eyes was released .

After a few line-up changes , singer Bryan Lemasters finally left the band and Nick Bradwell joined the band as the new singer.

The second studio album and at the same time also the first album with the new singer The Naturals was again released in 2007 under Rise Records.

On April 28, 2009 the third studio album Inside Out was released .

style

The music style of the band can be assigned to the metalcore . Until 2006 Catherine was one of the metalcore bands whose singers did not incorporate clearly sung text passages into the songs; rather, it is dominated by deep guttural vocals by the singer Bryan Lemasters at the time. However, since the singer changed there are also clearly sung text passages.
