Cavalleria

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cavalleria was a Spanish area and field measure. The size of the measure was dependent on the amount of grain seed required for the area.

  • 1 Cavalleria = 60 Fanega seeds

The Fanega was about 55.4 liters by volume . The order area for a fanega was 576 square estadales, which corresponded to 64,256 ares , so that for a cavalleria there were around 3855 ares.
