Cedric Prakash

Cedric Prakash (born November 3, 1951 in Bombay ) is an Indian human rights activist.

Prakash was born the youngest of four children, his father Late Conrad Lobo worked as an engineer at Siemens, his mother Cynthia as a teacher. In 1974 he entered the Jesuit order in Gujarat. In 1985 he was ordained a priest in Bombay. Since 2001 he has been director of the Center for Human Rights, Justice and Peace in Gujarat. He has been fighting the BJP for years . In 2013 he won a Mother Teresa Prize.
