Tigerair Taiwan ( Chinese 臺灣 虎 航 , Pinyin Táiwān Hǔháng ) is a low-cost Taiwanese airline based in Taipei and based at Taiwan Taoyuan Airport .
history
As the last significant Asian market, Taiwan did not have a low-cost airline. In early 2013, China Airlines and TransAsia Airways expressed an interest in it, and in December 2013, China Airlines formed a joint venture with Tigerair Singapore.
The first flight was from Taiwan Taoyuan Airport to Singapore Airport on September 26, 2014 .
