Ceferino Camacho, brother of Ancieto Camacho , played since 1901 for the Central Uruguay Railway Cricket Club (CURCC), which was the predecessor of Club Atlético Peñarol . From 1902 up to and including the season of 1905 he was part of the team's regular formation and acted in the role of the right half. In 1905 he won the Uruguayan championship in the Primera División unbeaten with the Montevideans and without conceding a goal . In the same year he was also on September 3, 1905 in the final of the Copa Competencia Chevallier against Rosario Athletic on the court. However, the CURCC lost the game 3: 4 despite a goal from Camacho. In 1906 he left the Montevideans in the second half of the year, but returned in 1907. He was again a regular player in the right half position and took over the office of team captain, which at the time also included the competence in questions of team formation. In this context, he made the decision to replace the previous goalkeeper Francisco Carbone with Leonardo Crossley . At the end of the season he won his second national championship title. In 1908 he said goodbye again. In 1911 he rejoined the CURCC. On the way to winning the championship again, he shared the operating times as the right half with Alfredo Betucci . In his last season for the Aurinegros he moved to the central half position in 1912 and competed with Domingo Savio for a place in the first eleven. According to Luciano Álvarez , Camacho is said to have played for the Montevideans until 1914. However, Álvarez also reports that Camacho was a player at the club from 1901 to 1914 and does not mention the interruptions. In addition, he was no longer listed as a member of the regular team in 1913 and 1914.
