The Nesselscheibe ( 1258  m ) is a summit in the Bavarian Prealps . It lies exactly on the municipal boundary between Gmund am Tegernsee ( district Dürnbach ) and Waakirchen .

topography

The nettle disc back with Gefällberg reproduces a bend the northern end of the ridge extending from the gap head over the Kogel head to Holzer-Alm pulls. There is no summit cross or any other marking. There are numerous ditches in the northern slopes that form the headwaters of the Dürnbach . The ridge is largely forested, but the summit area is currently largely free of trees, presumably due to storm damage.

The Nesselscheibe can be reached over the ridge from the Holzer-Alm or from the direction of the Kogelkopf as a mountain hike or by mountain bike.
