In the study “Living Worlds of Young Muslims in Germany” published by the German Federal Ministry of the Interior in March 2012, the Misawa forum (www.Misawa.de) was examined alongside seven other discussion forums relevant to young Muslims in Germany. Of the eight forums examined, it belonged to one of the three in which mainly religious topics are discussed and one of the two in which religious commandments and prohibitions (halal and haram) and religious practice (performing prayer, religious duties) are very often the subject of discussion become. According to the research, the term “lie” is often used in the forum. According to the study, the argumentation patterns of Islamist extremists are evidently better known in the very religious community than in the users of the secular or moderate forums.
