Center of Automotive Research and Technology

The Center of Automotive Research and Technology (CART) is a research network made up of research institutions from various disciplines and part of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). It includes around 30 institutes from different faculties.

aims

The aim is to examine issues relating to vehicles and mobility from a holistic perspective and to create comprehensive concepts and solutions for future automobiles. Not only individual sub-areas or components of a vehicle should be examined, but above all the mutual influences of the individual systems in the vehicle, the interaction between driver and vehicle and the interactions between vehicle, other road users and the environment.
