The Center hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM) is a network of general hospitals and teaching hospitals in the Canadian city of Montreal , which are connected to the Université de Montréal there.
The network, founded in 1996, includes three hospitals:
These hospitals used to serve mostly the French-speaking majority and were under the control of the Roman Catholic Church . Founded in 1645, the Hôtel-Dieu de Montréal is Canada's oldest hospital. The hospitals that make up the CHUM have around 10,000 employees. A medical research center is also part of the network.
Another network is the McGill University Health Center .
