The Centro Properties Group ( Centro ) was an Australian real estate company with headquarters in Melbourne . Centro was one of the largest developers, marketers and operators of shopping centers in Australia, New Zealand and the US, and the largest real estate partner of Woolworths and Wesfarmers . Founded in 1985 as Jennings Properties, it was continued as Centro Properties Group from 1991.
In 2007 the company owned 128 shopping centers in Australia and 682 in the US, with a total value of $ 26.6 billion.
