The Kirma (also called Cerma ) is a Gur language from Burkina Faso .
The ethnic group that speaks this language is called Ciramba ( Cerma-ba ) or Gouin ( Gwe , Gwen ).
The language is threatened with extinction as more and more speakers switch to French , especially in the Ivory Coast . Their language is not taught in schools, so many Kirma speakers only learn French.
