The Cerro Puelche is a hill on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises southwest of Half Moon Beach and 180 m northeast of Cerro Jaña on the east side of Cape Shirreff at the northern end of the John Paul II Peninsula .
Chilean scientists named it after the Puelche people in Chile.
