Certificate Store

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A certificate store is used to securely store digital certificates on a computer system. Certificates can be marked as non-exportable so that data theft of the certificate is made impossible. In this case, the Certificate Store also issues digital signatures .

The public part of the certificate can be exported and stored in a Certificate Trust Store of a Certificate Validation Service so that clients of the Certificate Validation Service can check the digital signatures issued.
