The Hughes Piedmont Glacier is a foreland glacier on the Wilkins Coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It lies between the Cordini Glacier and Smith Inlet .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1976 after the American glaciologist Terence J. Hughes, who worked on Deception Island and McMurdo Station from 1970 to 1971 and again from 1973 to 1974 on Deception Island as part of the United States Antarctic Research Program was active.
