Certificate Validation Service

A Certificate Validation Service ( CVS ) is a service that checks the validity of digital signatures .

The server-based Certificate Validation Protocol (SCVP) or the Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) are used here, via which clients can use the Certificate Validation Service.

The Certificate Validation Service internally accesses a Certificate Trust Store in which the public keys to be trusted are stored.
