The Château d'Aubenas, also known as Château de Montlaur, is located in Aubenas and is a former medieval castle complex that was originally completely surrounded by a moat. Over the centuries, an extensive fortress was built from the main castle . Round towers and battlements are almost entirely provided with machiculi. The keep is said to date from the 11th century.

The complex, which has been rebuilt many times and in excellent condition, was classified as a Monument historique in 1943 .
