Oracle Lake Lhamo Lhatsho

The monastery is located near the oracle lake Lhamo Lhatsho and is a place of rest and worship for all those who make the pilgrimage to this holy lake. This lake is considered a holy place for the Tibetans, which also plays a role in the discovery of the reincarnations of the Dalai Lamas (see main article soul child ). The oracle is said to have provided information on the 14th Dalai Lama 's birthplace in Taktser .
