Chad Brown (Baptist)

Chad Brown (around 1600 in Buckinghamshire - around 1650) was an English Baptist and co-founder of the city of Providence on Rhode Island .

Life

He is the forefather of the Brown family from Rhode Island, which among other things founded Brown University . Originally from Buckinghamshire , England, he emigrated to Boston, New England, in July 1638 .
