Lu Yu: Chajing

The Chinese book Chájīng ( Chinese  茶 經  /  茶 经  - "The book of tea" or tea classic ) is a narrow book in ten short chapters about tea from the year 760 of the Tang period.

Its author is Lu Yu ( Chinese  陸羽 ) (728–804). It is the most famous book on all aspects of tea in East Asia. It is the first monograph devoted to tea and covers practically every aspect of tea making and tea culture . The work is an important source for the Chinese food and drink culture.

A modern, annotated edition with a New Chinese translation was published in 1981 by the Chinese publisher Yunnan renmin chubanshe in Kunming under the title The Book of Tea in an Easily Understandable by Zhang Fangci ( 张芳 赐 ) et al. published.
