history

The Bertelsmann Foundation is one of the largest operational foundations in Germany. In order to make the foundation's work more visible and transparent, the first edition of Change appeared in 2008. This had a circulation of 38,000 copies. The German version was followed by an English version, which is no longer followed. At times, Change's circulation exceeded the 100,000 mark.

A relaunch took place in 2017. Since then, the magazine has been published with an illustrated themed poster. In the same year it also appeared online for the first time. Change now has an average of 80 pages. The current circulation is around 70,000 copies.
