Charles-Louis Michelez

Charles-Louis Michelez (* 1817 in Paris ; † May 21, 1894 in Paris) was a French photographer and lithographer .

biography

He was born in Paris, the son of Charles Louis and Félicité Michelez née Morin. He was married to Alicia Roux.

Charles-Louis Michelez published the world's first photo of a model train , the train of the imperial prince .

He specialized in photographing art objects. In 1861, during the National Art Show and Exhibition, he exhibited a series of photos of Gustave Doré's original drawings for The Inferno in the photo room of the Academic Salon . Among other things, he published five photographs of the Paris World Exhibition in 1867 ( French : Exposition Universelle ).

From 1874 to 1884 he ran a photo studio in Paris , on Rue Neuves des Petits Champs.
