Charles Albert Fawsitt
Charles Albert Fawsitt (* 1850 - February 16, 1928 ) was chemist's manager in Govan, Scotland .
He was temporarily an employee of Wilhelm Dittmar . After they reported the results of their investigation into the specific gravity of methyl alcohol solutions of various concentrations to the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 1887 , he was elected a Fellow of the Society in 1888 .
A relative of his wife Mary, née Pollack, founded the local shale oil industry . Until his resignation in 1914, he was a member of the Council of the Chemical Society .
His son, Charles Edward Fawsitt (1878–1960), also became a chemist.
