Charles Baerlocher

Charles Baerlocher ( September 26, 1881 in Paris - 1954 ) was a Swiss lawyer , editor and entrepreneur .

Life

Baerlocher, son of Karl Josef Baerlocher and Maria Barbara geb. Klingler, first graduated from college Sarnen and then studied Jus in Munich, Berlin, Basel and Bern.

He was then an editor at Keystone-SDA , before becoming a legal assistant in the police department of the Federal Department of Justice and Police (FDJP) in 1914 . In 1918 he was appointed head of the newly created Central Office for Aliens Police, but resigned in 1919 for health and economic reasons. In 1928 he was managing director of the Swiss coal import and wholesale trade and in 1932 director of the Swiss central office for coal imports. From 1939 to 1945 he was head of the war economy syndicate Carbo, responsible for the implementation of the rationing regulations for coal.

He was married to Lydia Meyer.
