Charles Hodge (born December 27, 1797 in Philadelphia , † June 19, 1878 in Princeton ) was an American theologian of the Presbyterian Church .

Life

After his stay at Princeton University until 1815, Hodge graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1819 . In 1820 he joined Princeton Theological Seminary as a teacher and was ordained pastor of the Presbyterian Church that same year.
