Charles Rojzman

Charles Rojzman (born August 23, 1942 in Villeurbanne near Lyon ) is a French psychosociologist, practical philosopher, writer and founder of the so-called " Thérapie Sociale ".

Life

Charles Rojzman was born in France and is descended from Polish Jews on his father's side. He grew up in Lyon and moved out of his home at the age of 17. At the Sorbonne he studied literature, linguistics and comparative literature. Charles Rojzman has four children and now lives in Bern and Paris .

The Therapy Sociale

After initial experience in solving serious conflicts in Mantes-la-Jolie, one of the largest social housing districts in Europe at the gates of Paris in the 1980s, where racism, discrimination, drug crime and violence, paired with blatant hopelessness, were the main lines of conflict Charles Rojzman developed his interdisciplinary method based on the findings of psychology and sociology and taking up elements of psychotherapy, which makes it possible to solve complex problems between hostile groups through collective intelligence and thus to prevent violence in its various forms and to learn democratic action. This so-called " Thérapie Sociale " is now being used successfully in many different countries and conflicts. It can be used in all contexts and areas of life where people fail to cooperate and live well with one another.

The Charles Rojzman Institute

In 2003 Charles Rojzman and his closest colleagues Igor and Nicole Rothenbühler founded the international competence center for training and intervention in the Thérapie Sociale "Institut Charles Rojzman". The institute is dedicated to the art of coexistence, the development of collaboration between people and democratic practices. Here people from all over the world and from a wide variety of social contexts are trained to become social therapists and supervised.
