Charlotte May
Charlotte Kordula Kann (born April 23, 1937 in Duisburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From May 31, 1990 to June 2, 2005 she was a member of the state parliament in North Rhine-Westphalia .
Life
Kann graduated from secondary school in 1952 and began training as a saleswoman in 1952. She then practiced this profession for a year. In 1956 she joined the SPD to work in the Duisburg sub-district; she was an employee of the party until 1990.
Charlotte Kann became, among other things, deputy chairwoman of the local SPD association in Großenbaum and from 1975 she was a member of the Duisburg-Süd district administration, at times also district chairwoman . She was also involved in the ÖTV trade union and the workers' welfare organization , and she was also the chairwoman of the Children's Village Grossenbaum Association .
