Charlotte Lorenz

Hedwig Charlotte Lorenz (born July 26, 1895 in Oschersleben , † April 1, 1979 in Berlin ) was a German economist.

Life

She studied modern languages ​​(including Turkish) and economics at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin , received her doctorate in 1919 and was a consultant at the Reich Statistical Office in Berlin. She completed her habilitation in 1927 and in 1937 became an associate professor of economics and social statistics at the University of Berlin. After the Second World War, she initially worked as a lecturer and later as an associate professor at the University of Göttingen .
