The charter is a font from the group of serif linear Antiquas . It was in 1987 by Matthew Carter for the company Bitstream Inc. designed. It is not just a new drawing of well-known printed matter, but an independent new development. It nevertheless follows classic font styles, but has a comparatively large minuscule height . It is easy to read. The font was placed under the following copyright notice, which makes it freely usable.
