Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst
The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst ( CAIA ) is a title awarded by the CAIA Association to candidates who have passed two exams. The training is intended for those portfolios of alternative investments serve. The institute is a non-profit organization and was founded in 2002. The CAIA is a very renowned training in the field of alternative investments, which is recommended by various colleges and universities as further education and specialization after completing a master's program such as in Banking & Finance.
According to the CAIA, there are more than 10,000 CAIA charterholders worldwide . 48% of the charterholders come from the USA, 35% from Europe. Most of the rest comes from Asia.
It is argued that prior to commencing an MBA with a focus on finance it should be helpful to obtain a CAIA diploma. The Spanish business school Instituto de Empresa recommends that those interested in its finance MBA program take the first CAIA exam.

To obtain the CAIA title, a candidate must pass two exams. The content of the first exam is:
