Chatzidakis

Chatzidakis Χατζιδάκις, also in the transcriptions Chatzēdakēs , Hatzidakis , Hazzidakis or Hadjidakis , is a modern Greek family name. It is a derivation of the Arabic honorific title Hādj ( Greek : Χατζής Chatzís ) for a person who has completed the Hajj (the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca ) and, by analogy, a pilgrimage to Jerusalem for Jews and Christians.
