Cheda (chess player)

Cheda (born 1976 ) is a Bhutanese chess player .

Cheda won the national individual championship in 2014 with 7.5 out of 9 points. He qualified for the Bhutanese team for the 2014 Chess Olympiad in Tromsø . There he played for Bhutan on the third board. Bhutan came third from last out of 172 participants. Cheda reached a draw against candidate Master Ravishen Singh from Trinidad and Tobago , but lost all of his remaining games.

His Elo number is 1568 (as of January 2018), which would put him in second place in the Bhutanese Elo ranking, but, as is currently the case (January 2018), all Bhutanese chess players are listed as inactive, as these players have been playing for more than a year have not played any more rated matches.
