Chemical Biology & Drug Design , abbreviated to Chem. Biol. Drug Des. , is a scientific journal published by Wiley-Blackwell-Verlag. The journal was founded in 1969 under the name International Journal of Protein Research , in 1973 the name was expanded to International Journal of Peptide and Protein Research and in 1997 it merged with the journal Peptide Research to form the Journal of Peptide Research . In 2006 the name was changed to Chemical Biology & Drug Design . The magazine is currently published twelve times a year. Papers are published that address the multidisciplinary areas of chemical biology and drug development.

The impact factor in 2014 was 2.485. According to the statistics of the ISI Web of Knowledge , the journal with this impact factor ranks 164th out of 289 journals in the Biochemistry & Molecular Biology category and 289 out of 59 journals in the medicinal chemistry category.
