The Chemotechnische Fachschule was a school in Darmstadt .
history
In 1941, a department for chemical engineers was set up at the Darmstadt commercial school .
From July 16, 1946, this chemical engineering school was continued as an independent municipal chemical engineering college in a basement of the partially destroyed garrison hospital in the acacia garden . The chemotechnical college trained chemical engineers in four semesters .
From January 1, 1964, the school was taken over by the State of Hesse as an independent state chemistry school . At the same time, the chemistry school was elevated to an engineering school and the course was extended to six semesters.
In 1967 the first chemistry engineers graduated .
In 1971, the chemistry school was integrated into the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences as the chemical technology department .
